This is a cute little restaurant in a store front in Frenchtown. It used to be a breakfast/lunch place called Fiona not too long ago. We were actually going to go to Finnbar (redone Frenchtown Inn) but it is not opened on Wednesdays. I've wantde to try Chez Daniel, and I am glad we did.

We found a parking spot right outside which is always nice. There is a nice small area outside for seating, but it was a little wet this evening We skipped the appetizer and just ordered dinner. Bill had the Steak au Poivre. He said it was very good and gave it a 4. Sue had Almond Crusted Cod. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. It came with rice and asparagus which was also very good, She gave it a 5! John had the Steak Frites. The steak was prepared well and was very good. I had the Salmon with arugula pesto, a potato pancake and asparagus. I typically like my salmon with citrus or horse radish, but this was a very nice change. It was delicious. We all cleaned our plates!
This outing, we opted for dessert. The Bailey's Creme Brulee was wonderful. The carrot cake was a little dry and gritty and per John, not as good as Sue's :)
It was a great menu. Plenty of choices. We all really liked our entrees and they were hot when we received them.
We will definitely be back.
PROS: BYOB, great service, plenty of menu options and great food preparation
CONS: Odd that we were not offered bread, and the quality of the food really warrants a better, classier atmosphere. .
